TR-RD-2/8 Control Systems

The TR-RD-2/8 Radio Remote Control is a great way to control your utilities from a hand-held portable radio.  Commonly used for stope fans, pumps and even stench gas release, TR-RD-2/8 can be configured in either 2 or 8 relay outputs.  ACK tone verifies contact operation for each relay.  The radio display is programmed to show which device is to be activated.  Truly a hand-held mine control device; the power is in your hands when you need it.  Voice option provides a programmable voice over radio network upon remote input change.

Data & Control Systems

Developed after 3 years of integration and testing, the TRAM-II (or Tunnel Radio Assisted Mining II) is a full-featured LHD tonnage production system. 

• TRAM-II collects bucket load data from Loadrite scale system, adaptable to a variety of loaders
• Load data is appended with RFID draw point location and dump point
• Collected data is securely transmitted to collection network for display, non-volatile memory
• Data is collected and deposited to Microsoft Access (database) for unlimited query / report generation via MS Excel
• MDT (Mobile Data Terminal) verifies data capture and allows soft key entry of various programmable status

Tunnel Radio’s newest addition is the TMS (Tunnel Monitoring System) technology. When installed complementary to our TR-150 or TR-500 UHF UltraComm system, TMS enables and allows complete control and supervision of any mine utility by way of wireless. TMS is a diagnostic / monitoring technology that constantly tracks the condition of the UltraComm radio system and mine utilities. When the TMS detects a failure, such as a broken cable or loss of power output, the condition is displayed on a VFD 4 x 20 line display (see above). Fans, pumps, power centers, and even mobile equipment can be controlled and monitored through Tunnel Radio’s TMS technology.  It is also useable as a data link with MineAx tracking.
